This has definitely been a really tough time for everyone but one of the highlights for us during this pandemic has been capturing families together. We offered free Front Yard Photo Sessions in Johnson County during the month of April and got an overwhelmingly great response from people. We did 26 Front Yard Photo Sessions! These photo shoots allowed families to briefly escape from all the struggles that this coronavirus has brought them and have some fun outside with their loved ones while getting some beautiful photos together. We had some great laughs and everyone enjoyed being outside away from quarantine life. Truly a rewarding experience to bring something positive to families during this time. Here are some of our favorite Front Yard Photos. Be safe and love your family!

Kezi was my assistant on this shoot and she started teaching yoga to the family and they all followed along LOL!

Melissa and Adrian had a beautiful wedding at Shawnee Town (Home of Old Shawnee Days) in Shawnee, Kansas.  Their wedding ceremony was outside at the beautiful gazebo surrounded by the historical 1929 buildings.  The weather was perfect and Melissa looked stunning in her white wedding dress as she came down the aisle.  They had tears in their eyes and smiles on their faces as they gave their heartfelt vows to each other just before exchanging wedding rings.  The celebration continued with their reception in the Town Hall building after we snapped some photos of the newly married couple along with the wedding party around the historic landscape.  Here are a few photos from their beautiful wedding.  Congratulations Melissa and Adrian!

We took some photos of Bell Masonery’s beautiful work that was featured in Kansas City Homes and Style Magazine.  They do such amazing work and we are always excited to capture their finished product. Their other work includes Wahlburgers in Olathe, Holy Trinity Church in Lenexa, Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Overland Park, and Jack Stack BBQ in Lee’s Summit.  See more beautiful architecture photos and amazing masonry work at

Are you having trouble trying to find that perfect gift for the guys in your wedding?  Something cool yet personal so they’ll always remember it was from you.  I recently received this personalized wallet from Groovy Guy Gifts and I have to say this is such an amazing gift!  It is made of real genuine leather and has lots of space and slots without being too big or bulky.  It came with a cool personalized wooden box that I can later use as a change box or some other handy storage device.  The wallet itself is personalized too if you’d like.  I chose to have my initials put on the wallet but you can have a full name or nothing at all.  I am using this wallet now and threw out my old leather Nike wallet once I received it.  It is that good!  This wallet is just one of the many great gifts you can purchase for your groomsmen at Groovy Guy Gifts.  They have several high quality guy gifts that any groomsmen or best man would love to have (and actually use) including shot glasses, knives, cufflinks, flasks and more!  With wedding planning comes a budget and the other great thing about the Groovy Guy Gifts is that they won’t break your bank with most of their gifts ranging from $20-$60.  Check out the full selection of Groovy Guy Gifts HERE.  You won’t be disappointed!

We have had such a wonderful time getting to know Amy and Preston as they have prepared for their special day.  They are an gorgeous couple and so fun to be around!  It was a beautiful day for their wedding and reception at the elegant InterContinental Hotel in Kansas City where Preston works.  It is a gorgeous venue and we got some amazing photos of Amy and Preston getting ready and seeing each other for the first time that day.  Amy and Preston had their first look in the sky view bar of the InterContinental Hotel.  The lighting and KC skyline were so perfect for this moment! Amy looked amazing in her stunning wedding dress from Casablanca Bridal as she approached Preston for their first look.  The love and joy as they saw each other for the first time was priceless!  After the first look, the bridal party loaded up on a party bus and we all went around Kansas City to take more photos.  We started with a group photo on the flag bridge in the Kansas City Country Club Plaza, where they got engaged, and then went to the Kauffman Performing Arts Center and the Nelson-Atkins Art Museum to get more great photos.  They had a wonderful ceremony and reception back at the InterContinental Hotel with tasty food, great music, and all their friends and family!  Here is a look at some of the special moments from their beautiful wedding day.  Also, if you would like to  see their engagement photos you can CLICK HERE.

Congratulations Amy and Preston!
